our HOLE-DAY!

It has been a freaking mad, mad term! For the first time I can't cope with my work!!! Though I managed to complete and meet all the deadlines, still it's crazy. we were like multi-tasking many things, trying to get things done!! A big WOW to all of us for completing our 'marathon' before the June holiday! Well, It didn't stop there. Another crazy workweek before they give us our June break. Pretty busy, a very well-planned one to keep us occupied. Here's the agenda: Meetings on Monday, from early morning to almost evening, a supplementary class to conduct on Tues followed by a 2-days workshop, rehearshals for the arts night the following day and tadaaa~ Friday, the Arts Nite which was held at the Republic Polytechnic. Phew! Hmm.. I dont think I'm so looking forward for my break now. What can I say.. Darn, It's a holeeeday. I have a Science paper to set plus a Science coreworksheet to ammend before I leave For Hong Kong.. That's a life of a teacher.. June holiday isn't really a holiday coz school still need our commitment. Oh great! I shall look forward for my December holiday then..

keep me sane..

I can't wait for June hols. Looking forward everyday, counting the days. Badly need a break from the adrenaline rush. It's a crazy term and I reckon it will be this chaotic for the next two terms. Kudos to all of us! At this point of time, a good company is all that we need to motivate each other and look forward for every new day. Anyway, my Hong Kong trip will be in mid June after Nursha's wedding on 11 June which i am So much looking forward too- for a new experience, where her akad nikah will be held at the Parliament House. The theme will be 'traditional' which means Everyone was requested to put on their Malay traditional costumes! I got mine all prepared specially for her event early this year! Gonna get the hubby a tall songkok and a new set of baju kurung with a matching samping. The boys will have the same set too! Hmm.. Looking for tangy orange kurungs and white samping for the boys to match with my white lace top and orange bustier+long skirt. The husband will be in white kurung with a pastel orange samping. Gonna make them look as good as me on thst auspicious day. Nursha!! I can't wait!! Hmmm... Who is getting married now?

SECCOM Family Day 2010

It was held at Eng Wah Suntec City. This was the 2nd Family Day held at the same place. Good food. Good movie. Both Dany and I enjoyed that Percy Jackson show. Eirfan was a lil bit cranky. Poor the husband has to pacify him.

~high tea~

Here we are finally catching up with each other. It has been a while since we last met on November last year and I am glad we met up again. Married & commitments, definitely it is not easy to have our girlfriend time anymore. I don't deny I miss those fun time we use to have during our solo period with Nad and Kak Pah. Nad now with 3 children, and like me, we are teachers busy all weekdays and fair enough our weekends are solely reserved for family. And sure we can't afford to spare a lil time for others. School holidays are our only option to steal time to meet up and have our me-time . Likelihood, our subsequent meeting will be during the June hols. Hey, but we are likely to meet again once we find a common time to gather at Nad's new home and Suzana's 2nd Chroma Studio Anniversary.
What's all these competition about ethnic groups?

I thought issues on social system only exists in ancient Indian communities. Never did I know it exists in our Malay community here too. People critisizing a certain ethnic group, branding them or associating them with some kind of evil spirits thingy, and claiming they are at the peak than the other. I thought all these issues are over but still linger among our people. Or perhaps it applies to minorities only. Minorities who thought they are better than others. I shall not mention names. It is appalling to learn that some people keep this as a practice. What makes you think that you're better than others? Worst still, I really don't know whether I should laugh or be annoyed upon hearing this, people of the same ethnic criticize another claiming they are a level above another. Where are they coming from? It is predictable if they are from the childlike kind of upbringing.

So what if you're a javanese, boyanese or bugis? Still a Malay right? Why be ashamed of your origin? No matter what you do, even to the extreme of changing your race in your IC, it doesn't change your parentage. It is amusing how people can get carried away by all these ethnicity branding. And it will eventually become 'penyakit keturunan' which I bet already a virus spread from one generation to another now.

I reckon it is a wake-up call for all of us. We are human, 'insan'. We are born with imperfections and fragility. We make mistakes that explained well that we are only human. We are nothing greater than another, babe.. Wake up your idea.

Dressing up, looking great to keep that appeal every day, I love that simply to motivate me to work. Gee.. It brought me back to those dating days with the husband, and it didn't end even after we got married and with 2 boys now. I still look forward to dress up to look my best, strut my stuff. Haha! I love to give him surprises. Initially, he never understand why is there a need for all those collections of accessories, craze for shoes, and heap of clothes in my choking wardrobe. At least now he understands it's my need and it amuses him whenever he discreetly observe how I shop for things. But one thing he still never understands is when I have to throw away my least worn clothes when I cant find something which I really want to wear on that day. That I, myself cant explain but lied to him those clothes hinders my search and taking up that space for too long on the shelves. Truthfully, that is my style of venting my anger and another reason to shop again. :)

As a matter of fact, I dont dress up to look good for him only but for myself mostly. My dressing is my confidence, determined my mood every day. Dressing down means gloomy on that day.

Sexy or Skank?..
If someone steals your look? That's nice. BUT puleaseeeee, babe.. Wear it with glam, not like a skank. There is a BIG difference between looking sexy and looking like a skank. It falls back to your sense of style & taste obviously. So if you wanna steal someone's look, wear it better than her. That would be nice.

Where are we now?

Whose birthday?

Who?

It's her birthday. This was on January. He, full of surprises. Finally he is adopting the practice to celebrate 'older by a year' day. Actually, this is his 2nd attempt where the 1st one was last year where we had a private dinner at Gunthers, a surprise I would never forget coz I asked the waiter what is the warm towel for.
He wasn't nurtured that way, doesn't exist in his family culture as she feels it is wasteful. However, people varies in certain way of doing things. I respect that. And I don't think I have done any damage to him as long as we spend within our means. It is a joy our love ones remember our birthday, isn't it? Rather than, blaming him for not remembering yours when the practice was missing since young. I'm much relieved and delighted he is willing to make a change to suit his family needs. I don't think throwing an inexpensive treat to celebrate an occasion is a waste as long as it has a positive impact to the family such like strengthening the family bond and at the same time nurturing that initiative to remember each other's special day. Though at times it is annoying to be reminded of my current age, which at most time I'm living indenial to how young I'm getting every new year, it is something to look forward too. It is not the lavish spending I'm refering to but it is the fun activities and quality time you spend with your love ones.

So here we are at the Singapore Zoological Garden. After the surprise breakfast with Ah Mengs, we head straight to the park. The kiddos had a fantastic time. And Eirfan began to walk! They love the Kids World. Ya, water party at the zoo. So now, whose birthday is it?

Sunday, February 28, 2010

It has been a long time since my last entry. Pretty busy with the kiddos, the hubby & not to mention work, which took 70% of my commitment. It's not easy to juggle all these until at one point I'm left with very little time for myself. I'm very so much in love with shopping. It's my passion, every girls' passion. The only thing that can make we, women distracted from our problems is 'shopping'. In fact he knows the only thing to cheer me up on 'not my day' is to simply drive me to town. I'm a big spender especially on shoes, clothing and on other unnecessary things. I love shopping- it's a retail theraphy, everyone knows. Hehe!

I love to observe people. Analyse them and be amused by their actions. It is great to stick around with people-those who are with logical thinking, creative, sensible, those with sense of humour or I shall sum up all of those with good traits. I can be pretty choosy when choosing friends, don't mind having a mixture though. No, it's not like what you think I will only be in the circle of friends who carry or wear designer stuffs. They are pretty fine people I don't deny that though can be stuck up and superficial. Still these people are fine. What's more if they are full of themselves. This type shows that they acquire BIG confidence. But hey, BIG confidence with zero knowledge about anything is not good though. I can't definitely stick with this kind especially. I'll rot. Low tolerance to BIG mouth, BIG confidence and BIG head with lil brain. Fake. Harsh-harsh-harsh.. Gee, can't help it. This is my only avenue, where I store all my thoughts, sharings and constructive criticisms, if you take it that way. To those who snooped in to read, if you don't like what you're reading now, settle your own problem at your own pace. Should your readings coincidently coincide the person you are, BINGO! You've exposed yourself! I have no relish for such character, so please go away. Shoo! Seriously, I don't lose anything. Harsh again. It is interesting how People around you can make a great impact on you. I am a victim for losing some gracious in me today.
