Chroma Studio

Congratz to Ms Suzana on her newly opened hair studio, Chroma studio, a special place for all your dreams to grow! HOoray!!

Pretty busy day for me and galfren, Nora. Parked our kids at our moms' home and ready to run errands!

I was late, unavoidable coz the boys wakie unusually late as they turned in pretty late last night- went to JB and what the *fish*, caught in the jam at Causeway checkpt!! Grrrrr...

Therefore, we decided to run solo. As we were chasing after time, Nora drove to Yana's place first to fetch that cooler container, then to Harvey Norman Centerpt to get the mini fridge while as for myself, the star karat, quickly rushed to Centrepoint to get the cake after sending my boys to mom's place. My saviour, none other than my sweetest and understanding Darl, sent me before he headed to work. Hehe! Sowie for rushing you..

Ahemz.. Make way for the DeBeaus.. Hahaha!

And the youngest babe.. Isnt she so cute?!! Still in my wishlist, wait long-long, Yane.. *sob-sob*

Let's talk about Suzana.

Was introduced by Nora. Alas, we found our new hairstylist. We were regulars at Carfu De Pong once(if i spelt it out correct) but unfortunately, the auntie, yesh, no kidding, shes in her late 40s(she used to cut our hair and we loved her touch) left the company due to personal reason.

After salon hopping for a yr if i'm not wrong, then Nora was introduced to Suzana by a friend and so the chain started.

A very experience hairstylist, worked for Shunji Matsuo and then Midori. Attained a Master in Hair Science and Advanced Dip in Hair Colour, why would you hesitate? She took a higher step, set up her own hair studio, a personal achievement indeed. Its all hard work.. Congratulation to you again.. ;)

Early Childhood

Reading is fun for your child when he can recognise many vocabularies and sight words. Dany was exposed to words when he was only 2 mth old. It all started from home, simply on the TV and play the vcd. I bought him the "My Baby can Read" vcd-those who are wondering where to get this vcd you may try looking for it at Robinson, John Little or Kiddy Palace. Children pick up faster in the early age- as early as 1 mth old. They may appeared oblivious of the surrounding, giving you cues as if they arent interested, just like Dany when I showed him any educational programme when he was only an infant but surprised me with his physical gestures, blinking his eyes, clapping his hands when the word appeared on the screen, copying what the gorilla was doing as showed in the vcd. Yes, that showed he's learning thru visual!

As 'kiasu' as other mummies, honestly since I discovered he has sufficient vocabs in his bag and simply guilty to keep him at home, I sent Dany to a montessori preschool (MMI) when he was 18 mth old recommended by a cousin. Not only that I was excited to watch his academic progress but his social skills too. True enough, I was not disappointed.

These are the efforts made by me, DIY, just to reinforce whatever he has learnt from the vcd. FLASH cards. I was thankful to be blessed with a child who is always fascinated with words. At 9 mth old, he is able to pronounce all the words not so clear tho.

At 24 mth old, I introduced him to story books, encouraging him to read with me. And now, at 29 mth old, he is already an emergent reader, reading independently.

Well.. Effort, $$, time, all paid off when your child shows progress. So mothers, do not give up on your child. He may show uninterested but you never know he is learning. Word recognition is a faster way to teach your child to read than phonics. Therefore, introduce your child to words early. :)

~Brazilian Wax for me..

I m getting addicted to do this. Simply lurve the supple skin down there right after the wax. Hmmm.. I dont deny its pretty painful when I did it for the first time.. Its a matter of getting immune to the pain. Trust me 2nd attempt will be less painful coz ure hair grew finer than before. It will take approximately a week for the new fine hair to grow and according to Winky who bare my down there, you're dued for the next waxing when the hair grow for about 1cm.

PSsst! Do your reading before you go for any brazilian waxing. A proper brazilian waxing should go thru a few procedures before and after they apply the hot,hard wax over there.. And make sure they change the spatulas after every application. Its important to avoid getting infected by bacteria from another person. You never want to get infected by any serious bacteria eg. STDs, wouldnt you? So be careful, ok! I didnt know about this initially and had my first wax done at this beauty salon at Midpoint- one spatula for each customer! I dont know with how many gals I had been sharing the hot wax with. I just pray all of them are clean and free from any infectious bacteria. Geezz...
