Mothers' Love

"Time flies,"everyone says.

It is frightening sometimes to look in the mirror and see the evidence of that. So often, we don't take a moment to say what's in our hearts, and then, when it's too late, we wish we had.

When I was a child, there was so much I couldn't understand. Like how hard my mother worked and how much she has sacrificed for the family just to provide stability within our family. There were dreams she had to put on hold and dreams that never came true. Gee.. She must have felt frustrated sometimes, no doubt, and at times even full of despair but we didn't know. Yet she never gave less than her best to us.

She didn't have an exciting career or beautiful clothes. She never travelled the world or drove a fancy car. Every day, she looked after us, worried about us, fed us, and loved us, without expecting anything in return, and finally we become the person we are now. I never forget where I came from, my origin.

I once heard someone proudly whispered to me, "My mum breastfed me until I was 7 yrs old". It's a kinda WOW thing for me. A mother's sacrifice, not every mothers will give that strenuous effort especially, a working mother like me. Sure, it's sad and apprehensive to hear your child disrespect you after all those you've given.

"Mum, stay away from my business, this doesn't concern you! Please go away!" Obviously, this comes from an insolent, unthankful spoilt brat, someone who thinks neither yesterday nor tomorrow. Sounds so familiar? You know yourselves better.

Conflicts..
Human bound to have conflicts with anyone. Nevertheless, you simply have to be smart to unravel the misapprehension, especially when its between you and your maternal mother. Stop, turn and look back, make self-inquiry Where you come from before you choose to be boldly rude, spits morally filthy words to the elders.

I am a mother now. I feel for another mother. And that is the reason I often and never failed to stand by my mother, at all time, no matter what happens, we always be there for one another. We treasure that special bond we had together. You can never buy Mothers' love, more than words can be expressed.
